brand spankin' new and ready for you!
primitive urge shares the building with aj java roasters coffee house. they do not currently have proper signage, but do have neons displaying their craft; "tattooing" and "piercing". their logo/sign is currently under construction, and will consist of a stainless steel font mounted on a back drop of layers of welded and plasma cut steel sheets, all backlit with red and white light.

the inside was completely remodeled by shop owner/tattooist, chad birgy. upon entering, the first thing you will notice is a beautifully hand crafted, wooden front counter/desk. you will see what appears to be oak flooring, which actually is linoleum, in every room. the shop is well lit with classy stainless steel track lighting, and many plants reside on shelves and counters. it has a very clean, sterile appearence, with stainless steel work tables and counters.the decor suggests an asian feel with tribal accents. primitive urge offers a seperate piercing operatory which is fully equipped for functionality and privacy. the glass brick window and door are a nice touch also. with it's own hands free sink, and a pass through window to the biohazard room, the piercing room offers maximum comfortability and a clean, welcoming environment.

primitive urge practices the highest standards in cleanliness. we are fully licensed and inspected by the state health department, and practice single use needle disposal. we test our autoclave regularly, and have our results on display.
the biohazard room is also self contained, and fully equipped. again with stainless steel counters, and a glass door embalized with a sand blasted biohazard symbol.

you will not find the walls covered with silly tattoo flash, but instead you will enjoy original art, and masks from various tribal cultures. there is a seperate computer monitor for customers to view and print flash from different web sites, or just surfing while you wait. if you like, there is a door which connects the shop with aj java, so you can refresh your thirst, or fill your belly. the whole building is a wi-fi hot zone, so your free to bring your note book as well.

primitive urge encourages, and prefers, original custom work. with four artists of varying experience levels, (all have between three to nine years) you should have no trouble finding the perfect design for your new tattoo. speciaizing in many styles, there is nothing they can't handle. furthur, they promise to refer any work they may not be able to handle, to some one that probably can. the staff are warm and welcoming, and will make you feel safe and confident. they are as follows; chad birgy, shop owner/tattooist 9 yrs. exp. , hannah brownlee, shop manager/piercer 5yrs. exp. , kim kress, tattooist 3yrs. exp., emerald peargin, piercer 8yrs. exp. lil john gentner, tattooist 3yrs. exp., soon to arrive, scott ramsay, tattooist 9yrs. exp. hannah will also be taking on an apprentice soon as well.

please print out this post and bring it in to primitive urge for a one time 10% discount on any service we offer!!

sincerely, chad birgy
