Beautiful mag! Great section.
I got to see the latest edition (as well as an edition last year) , and this magazine is really lovely! I adored the photo of Alaine on the recent edition (as of August 05), and her Tribal Corner articles are well written and entertaining! - "Shay" , posted 08/08/05

Informative
The Belly Dance Oasis Mag, with it's new format offers a well rounded look at Bellydance in Australia, particularly that of Western Australia. It offers information on various stylisations , a look at what's happening and some interesting and informative articles and interviews with overseas dances... I was particularly please when the editorial team included a regular Tribal corner. This aspect has proven to offer Australian Tribal Dancers and the curious an ongoing look at the tribal scence both here and aboard. Through this column, Alaine offers an opportunity for readers to have ongoing and up to date information on various aspects of tribal. Alaine regularly includes a look at establish, new and emerging tribes - fostering a sense of community. For those interested in tribal and wanting accurate, well researched information, check out the Tribal Corner. - Becky , posted 07/05/05

Triba Corner in belly Dance Oasis Magazine
This glossy, gorgeous magazine was established in 2000. With a huge national and international subscription base the magazine provides a wealth of information and articles on all things ME with many interview from internationally renowned teachers and musicians. For tribal dancers, one of the biggest changes to the magazine was the inclusion of Tribal Corner; 3 pages chock full of information about tribal.

Tribal Corner has now been going for almost 4 years. Written by Alaine Haddon-Casey of Gypsy Trail Tribal Dance Company and Diaspora Tribe (you may have seen the name in the Tribal Bible). Alaine travels to the USA annually for dance training and to stay up to date with the USA tribal scene. Who knows, if you're a USA or Australian tribal dancer or musician you're probably already featured in it!
