The Gorge is great just make sure you add your voice and fight the CaSINO out of the gorge and while you are at it support the Friends of Columbia Gorge!!! Visitors look at "friends of Columbia Gorge" web site for planned hikes or possible helpful info - Paul , posted 04/21/05 |

 In Portland, OR, we are spoiled rotten by the fact that Mother Nature is an ant-fart away... An hour or 2 drive in any direction plops us straight into lush countryside or wilderness... If you ever find yourself here, with a day (or even just an afternoon), I highly recommend taking a quick drive up the Gorge... it is a beautiful scenic area with plenty of waterfalls and hiking trails to whet the imagination, lush rainforests that will spark your muse, and a place where nature inspires immediate awe and reverence at it's beauty... - Unsubscribed , posted 02/25/05 |
