 I have had that on my shelf for a long time. The only draw back to it is it's reference to brands that might not be available in all areas. I find this sort of specific information limiting over time for a reference as there will be changes in quality and availability and it does not allow for new offerings to be considered by those that use books as bibles. That is a personal pet peeve from one who reads cookbooks as literature. Everyone interested in Asian cooking should have it on their book shelf, though! - Nora , posted 07/22/08 |

I love this book! I take it with me to the asian markets so I can be creative in my asian cooking. It's very thorough, and has lots of obscure ingredient descriptions, as well as the basics. It even has little sketches of what things look like so you can know exactly what you want to get! I'd highly recommend this book to people in general, but especially to people who are curious to know what everything in the store actually is! - Lyra
