It is Jose
He is very nice. He always asks me what my name is.. and then states..."Ah yes Deb, that's right!" I like all the free perks. Jose even gave my daughter a really nice thai snake bracelet. The food is great too. I love the chicken with crispy basil. - Deborah , posted 12/01/06

Jose?
He told me his name was something else. Sweetest restauranteur I've ever met. Always kicked me down some sticky rice with mango on the house! - Unsubscribed , posted 11/29/06

Best thai dining experience in Portland
Seriously, this restaurant is the bomb..... not only is their food killer, cheap, served to you lightning fast(i particularly recommend their peanut curry with peaches in it...hmmmmm), and accompanied by a variety of complimentary accoutrements, but Jose will leave you feeling like you were a rock star and a pimp all mixed into one..... if you ever have to break up with someone, take them here, because no matter how badly they are crushed, they are still gonna leave with a smile on their face, Jose is just that good..... and make sure you ask for a demonstration of his trademark 360 spin..... top notch in my opinion..... welcome to paradise!! - Chris , posted 11/20/06

an interesting dining experience
i love its location, residential laurelhursty. inside it feels like an authentic thai restaurant, a bit chintzy but fun. the free iced coffee or tea, spring rolls, and mango sticky rice are a nice touch. it's the kind of place to go if you want a lot of interaction with the owner. jose kept telling me that i was a lucky girl, having such a handsome boyfriend. :) - jenxen , posted 06/18/05

This place is the greatest
I freaking love Jose...that guy is constantly on crack I swear. And he's hilarious. He always knows me and my friends when we come in (Which have been all of three times in like 6 months) Free appatizers and drinks and desserts (How could I complain?) The food is great at least everything my friends and I have ate... Long Live Jose! - Zeller , posted 02/13/05

worth the trip
Gordon is right, it has to be the most interesting restaurant I have ever been in, and Jose is great. Free drinks and appetizers make it well worth the visit. The atmosphere is great and very welcoming and they always seem to be playing good music for a Thai restaurant. Highly recommended. - jcm , posted 12/09/04

Excellent food and service!
A wonderful place to eat. Jose the owner is crazy. He greets you and asks for your name. Ends up giving you food or drink 'on the house'. They go above and beyond what any restuarant has ever gone in my book. My favorite is item is the drunken noodle. They also have many other exotic Thai dishes to choose from.. Try the specials! The mango sweetrice is to die for.
