fabulous, huge vegan nachos!
I really enjoyed the vegan nachos here, as well as a side salad with interesting vegetables and texture. The artichoke dip was great, but better as an apetizer than a meal, and I got to have several bites of my sister's lasagna, which was loaded with tasty pesto! - Jenni , posted 07/11/06

used to be great
This place used to be wonderful. Hearty food, made and served with heart. The feel of the place was frayed around the edges like your favorite jeans.

It's recently gone from frayed to scummy and the food is as lackluster as the experience.
Here's hoping it turns around. - russell , posted 06/28/06

Mmmm... grains!
I like hippie food. Therefore, it is in my humble opinion that the food at this place rocks, because it apeals to my tastes. My favorite thing so far is probably the grain pancakes. Best pancakes, ever! (in the world of "hippie pancakes")
Also important to note is that it is within the price range of a college student. And is delicious. And is vegan optioned. So... fantastic. - Euphrates , posted 01/04/06

great for a cheap breakfast
2.95 and 3.95 breakfast specials, and vegan.
tofu or tempeh, pancake or french toast and potatoes or rice, what vegans crave in diner food for the morning. - jess , posted 06/03/05

I loved it more before
Its a cool spot to chill. I was bummed when they took away the oatmeal and the morning miso- two of my faves. Something changed in the glow of the place and I'm not sure exactly what it is. Hmf. - onlineDee , posted 04/19/05

The single worst food hole in Portland
If ever food was made with hate, this is where you would find it.

Look, you gotta review the places you don't like too, for balance.
overrated hippie crap. But I do enjoy corn"dog" basket. With spicy fries. And a side of almond gravy. But that's all. Really. I might as well buy a morningstar corndog and eat it at home. I'll use the money I save to actually help someone, instead of re-investing in another circular hippie nightmare.

Great food, in a laid back atmosphere
They have a very wide selection of vegan items, it is hard to decide what to have. You cannot go wrong with the Vegan Mac and Cheese, or really anything that you order. If you are in the coloring mood, you can color on the menus. - * Jamie* , posted 10/19/04
