It used to be good, when there wasn't other choices. the food is lame, beer just average, and sure you can bring your dog, but the people that bring them are idiots that let them run off leash. I was there the other night with my dog, and some dog took a dump next to a table. But since he was off leash, his owner didn't know he had to clean it up, and some other customer finally did the chore. Last time I was there prior to that, some idiot brought a dog that didn't like other dogs- he'd growl and snap at any dogs that came close, and when the guy would pull him back, the dog would snap at him. Although I love the idea and love dogs, I agree that the service is relatively poor and the food is really weak ass. Also the outdoor seating where dogs are allowed is on the shady side of the building with no afternoon sun...kinda sucks. There are far better pooch friendly beer locales in portland. Yeah, my dog likes it, but she loves anything as long as she's not left at home. OK,I can take my dog - but still only sit outside, which means it's exactly like any other bar/cafe/restaurant I go to with outside seating, only without the service. All the atmosphere of a dusty warehouse. When it's half full, you can't hear yourself talk. The food is god awful (but cheap, at least), and the beer can't compare to other local places. Yuck. - James , posted 01/08/05 |
