and that is fine with me:) i have eaten a lot of sushi and this place is great, it is kindof in a weird place on powell blvd. but anyone that knows good food knows that the greatest places aren't so gorgeous sometimes...went here for my son's 15th bday, he is a sushi fan from way back (in the womb-didn't know back then it was bad for you!) hee hee. just love this place! - saltyfish , posted 06/22/08 |

This restaurant seems to get overlooked in the press qutie a bit. No wonder-- it's not in any hip part of town, they don't serve sushi rolls that would better called seaweed wraps--and who would want fried chicken and 14 different fish on the same roll? Ichidai does the basics, and does them quite well. The decor is defiinitely a converted office, but they've done their best. The sushi is clean and non fussy. I see lotsa families here. It's a delicious, low-key sort of restaurant with delicious catch-of-the-day offerings posted. - Unsubscribed , posted 10/14/05 |
