Hodas
Hodas and Nicholas are all in the family. As is another place farther east around 82nd. All I can say about Hodas is I love the food and the people. The owner and wait staff are very considerate. And I'm happy it's in my neighborhhod - neswstar - pc , posted 06/27/06

mmmmm hot pitas
Hodas is my favorite place for Lebanese food in Portland. I think Nicholas is overrated. Try the chicken kabobs w/ garlic sauce. Their salad with the dinner is very fresh and lightly dressed. I love it - Jeannie , posted 06/27/06

Average Lebanese food
Their food is better than Nicholas' but it even doesn't compare to Ya Hala. Their labne is really amazing and thye have fresh pita which is more than I can say for some resaurants. Worth a shot if you live in the neighborhood. - Lauren , posted 12/27/05

Screw Nicolas'!
I don't get the huge rivalry between Hoda's and Nicolas'. All I can say is that their food is very comparable but you don't have to wait as long at Hoda's, it's cheaper, and it's slightly better. Try the Foul (pronounced "fool") here, it's authentic and good and not your usual middle-Eastern-in-Portland fare. My only problem with this place is that I've seen the owner be very mean to his employees. - Mina , posted 06/01/05
