Floater rocks. Written with a philosopher's touch and played with lust and soul, Floater's songs let out your angst, give you hope and make you mosh like a muthafucka. Best of all, these guys are for reals, no pretense, no crap, just great music. I guess I should say how fun they are to drink with, but actually, I don't care. It's their music that speaks the loudest. I've been a fan (though not quite one of the cult-like fans that foam at the mouth about them) for the past 11 years, ever since they played at the WOW Hall when no one expected the massive turnout and I had to help protect the monitors on the stage under Rob and he dripped sweat on me for an hour. Since then, Floater's just been in me. Oh yeah, and they have their own Wikipedia entry. Not many Portland bands can say that. - Sioen , posted 06/18/05 |
