Don't forget your duck food
Just North down the road from the park is a small produce stand on the West side of the road that sells duck food and peanuts for the squirrels. The little fuzzy-tailed rodents will take them right out of your hand if you hold it out to them (watch your fingers!).

You're not allowed to feed the ducks bread in the park, so if it's before noon and you want to feed them, be sure and pick up a bag of the duck food, which I believe is cracked corn. If you get to the park late though the ducks will be full from feeding all day and it will be a waste. Get there early and they'll literally mob you while the squirrels are rifling through your bag for peanuts. Very bold critters.

Oh yeah, I saw some pretty Rhoddies there too. - Unsubscribed , posted 04/24/06

Nothing better when the Rhodies are in bloom
This is an exquisite park. Perfect, unbelievable. Best seen ofcourse in the Spring when the Rhodies are in bloom. Other times, it is still beautiful, but not quite as awe inspiring.

This ranks up there with the best of Portland parks. - joan , posted 12/25/05

A wonderfully peaceful way to spend an afternoon
The garden is not expansive, but it is definitely peaceful and enjoyable. The bridges, waterfalls, and wildlife are enough to calm just about anyone.

Admission is $3, but the garden is free on Tuesday and Wednesday. - Jay , posted 06/22/05
