Great coffee, fabulous food -- but most of all a place where neighbors meet and (incredibly more REAL than on TV), a bunch of people actually DO know your name! If you've ever wondered what a real neighborhood place feels like, stop by. Don't expect super-speedy-"here's-your-coffee-now-move-on" treatment, but that's not what we really want, is it? - Linda , posted 06/09/06 |

I had the pleasure of visiting Coffee Lovers today for the first time. Someone from my neighborhood had recommended the place to me. I have been looking for a decent nearby coffeehouse, but I had not yet checked out the ones around here. They make a decent iced mocha and the barista was nice and friendly. They have a computer that you can use, which is awesome. They made it a point of mentioning their cool A/C, and it was quite comfortable, esp. on a hot day. I don't have air conditioning at home either, so that's a plus. It's a nice looking place, too. They serve food. I didn't try any of it, but I took a look at the menu and it all sounded good. I think that the prices are quite decent, too. I also noticed that they serve Portland roasting coffee, which is farm-friendly, shade grown, organic and drum roasted. They had a pamphlet near the counter that gave information about the coffee that they serve. I think that's great. I highly recommend you check them out. - Leif , posted 08/21/05 |
