Far away from Portland, in a land of many issues, I was most fortunant to experience the artistic talents of Ashley Hodge - the early years. I hope "Becky"'s page completes construction stat ,so I may once again lay eyes on the mighty power his art bestows upon the viewer- anyone have pics from the last opening? Every time I see Ashley's art, I'm amazed at the depth of madness and inventiveness that must stir his empassioned artist's soul... :) He manages to convey the width and depth of human emotion with his work, while speaking to the voices that whisper in the back of our consciousness, telling us that it's all ok - someone else *does* understand... I wanted to get the word out about my brother, Ashley Hodge. He's not a computer savvy guy, so he can't do this himself, and I didn't want all you cool connected peeps to miss out on making his acquaintance. He is an amazing artist, he has a collection of large picture box art currently hanging in the bar Beullahland on 28th...go check it out. He is also a great hairstylist! Just because he has a mohawk doesn't mean you have to have one too, he does my hair, and it looks pretty good, eh? He works at Capello, the coolest salon in Portland (236-4422).
