I'm 24, male, just moved here from Boston. I'm looking for a place to live with interesting people who are into doing things and making things.
I'm going to list all of the things that I would find ideal in a living space -- all of them are negotiable, but they give a good sense of who I am:
I'd like to live somewhere near the city center, or, at least, somewhere that actually feels urban to me. I'd like to live with a bunch of people. I'm vegetarian, and it's convenient to live with other vegetarians, but I don't actually know how important it is to me. I'd like this bunch of people to have a reasonable gender balance and reasonable queer/straight balance. I feel like racial diversity is the elephant in the room with respect to that last sentence, but, well, from what I've seen Portland is way too white of a city to make that desire reasonable. I'd like someone that I'm living with to be nerdy enough to have a small electronics workbench set up where I could play and tinker and learn. I'd like my housemates to share things and cook for each other. I'd like my housemates to be open-minded about drug use but not totally fucked up. I'd like there to be a decent, safe, indoor place to keep my bicycle. I'd like to live in the sort of house where, when you tell people an awesome idea, their first response is to wonder "how can I help make that happen?"
Mostly, of course, I want to live with awesome people.
So, I dunno, drop me a line if you've got any leads.
danke!
