Reliable Sitter Needed (Portland)

We are in need of a person who can care for our 10 year old boy.
We don't need care all the time because he is old enough to care
for himself for a few hours, what we need is someone who is willing
to care for him as needed. There are times I have appointments or
me and his father would just like a day off. We will give you plenty
notice before needing your care.

If you can pass the following criteria, please email me with your availability,
age, whether or not your willing to do overnights, and what you charge per hour.
IF YOU CANNOT pass the following criteria, PLEASE don't bother emailing me
cuz I am firm in the kind of person I am looking for.

1. We need someone reliable, someone who can be prompt and organized.

2. We need someone who can be firm in discipline and who also has the
respect for us on how we raise our son. We are a little more strict than
most of the parents in the neighborhood.

3. Non smoker preferred but is not necessary. Please don't smoke in the
house and no drinking on the job or driving while intoxicated. (The reason for
firing our last sitter). We need someone who won't just up and leave our son
on his own. (The reason for the firing the sitter before that).

4. Someone over 18. Mainly because younger people don't have any respect
for our rules and home. Constant use of fowl language around our son will
get you fired.

5. We need someone fun. My son will mostly be playing out with his friends
but a fun trip or two would be nice...we will pay for everything. We do not
currently have Cable but we do have over 2000 movies in our collection. We
do have internet and there are many games in the house.

6. We need someone with RELIABLE transportation. The closest bus stop
to our home is 1/4 mile up hill. We will provide bus fair for our son if you
travel by bus.

7. We need someone who can deal with a somewhat ADHD and Bipolar child.
He has progressed a lot in the last few years but he still has his moments and
I need someone who can see that and understand that he just needs a little more
TLC that day. He is non medicated so there is no worry of medication dispensing.

8. We need someone who is not going to freak because we are Pagan. We need
someone tolerant of our faith which ties in with respecting our home. I will not
tolerate someone trying to shove their religious views down my sons throat. The
discussion of different faiths is awesome, trying to convert is not.

9. We need someone who is not going to play maid and wait on our son hand
and foot. We try to raise him to be independent and self sufficient. At 10 years
old, our son can cook some things himself. He loves to bake deserts and help
when you cook. Sometimes you have to be a little firm cuz he will try to be lazy.
He will also bat his eyes, pout his lips and say perty please.....don't give in! LOL!

10. We need someone who likes animals. We have 2 dogs, a Chow and a Pomeranian.
We also have 4 cats. If you have allergies, this job might not be for you because Chows
shed A LOT.
