The Low Down

The Situation
This lovely new house is 1,250 sq. ft., is in fantastic shape, and is colorful, bright and cozy. The kitchen has a gas stove, a breakfast nook and skylight. There is one full bathroom, a laundry room with a washer and dryer, wood-finished floors throughout the house, gas heat in the kitchen, and lots of light in all of the rooms. There is no basement and it does have fairly small common spaces so someone with minimal furniture would be ideal. We are looking for someone who has there own life but would like to be a part of the care and development of making a new house a home with two down to earth, creative, conscious women.
The backyard is huge, with a big tree and a swing set. It's in great shape and has lots of potential for gardening, building a fire pit(I have the benches!), and whatever we decide to create. We are hoping to do some green-building projects there and would love the newest addition of the household to be interested in joining us in getting dirty and building something cool. The front yard is also really nice.
The location is near Alberta Arts District and Beaumont neighborhood. The house is a 15 minute walk to either Alberta St(New Seasons, cafes, restaurants, galleries, and Last Thursday art walk) or Beaumont(more cafes, restaurants, and shops), and is 3 blocks from the up and coming 42nd St neighborhood.
Some other details:
There is a 365 sq. ft. garage in the back that I will be renovating during the spring and summer. Once the space is ready, I plan to move out of the upstairs master bedroom in the house and into the garage space. When that happens, the master bedroom will also be for rent, and it is beautiful with high ceilings and a huge window overlooking the backyard.
About me and what I’m looking for:
-I am 38 year old woman
-I work in the non-profit world
-I’m into healthy, organic living
-I’m quiet at night, but like to go out to see music, etc.
-I like to have pot-lucks, bonfires and gatherings every once in a while
-I love to travel, hike and have fun exploring
-My dog is 13, but really active and very cool
