Hi, Negara will be playing this Friday night, April 25th, at Marino's
Cafe for Severina and members of her troupe Znama. Severina, Angel,
Danielle and Kristnh will all do solo sets to Negara, and Znama will
dance a set to recorded music.
Negara is a Portland quartet playing a lively blend of traditional and
modern music, with influences from all parts of the Mediterranean area
as well as jazz and rock. They play a variety of instruments, again
ranging from traditional to modern.
Together, Negara and the dancers of Znama present an evening of
exciting and adventurous new twists to the traditional art of
bellydance performance.
Marino's Cafe is at 4129 SE Division in Portland. They offer a
selection of tasty paninni, salads, desserts and coffee drinks, so
bring your appetite. The show starts at 8, with a suggested 5 dollar
donation.
