I'm really stoked about Aleatoric 3.0 (our live PA ambient/experimental music showcase) happening this Sat, the 4th, at the Fez Lounge! Tim and I got our hands on Apotheke's turbos for extra clear sound!
Come on out and support the artists!!! Here's how the night will progress ...
8:30- I'll dj ambient on 3 turntables
9:00- Jetfinger live PA
dj between acts for setup/teardown
Unrecognizable Now - Live PA & video
dj between acts for setup/teardown
Mr. Pharmacist - Live PA
There's a $4 cover which is going straight to the artist playing. I hope too see a number of you to share a brew with! I changed the concept of the show to be quarterly rather than monthly to keep the quality/turnout high and burnout low, so come on out since the next show will be in June or July ...
Here's some more info on the artists playing:
Jetfinger
The elusive Jetfinger will return with his ever-growing, ever changing magnificent home built modular synthesizer, possibly one of the largest and most comprehensive systems in the city. Here's the list of gear he wrote that he'll be bringing ...

pocket-control knob box -midi out+thru ->
dsi evolver -midi thru->

Unrecognizable Now

Unrecognizable Now has become known for their audio/visual performances through the Vision+Hearing events they help curate at Holocene along with Portland Filmmaker Rob Tyler. The first full length album by Unrecognizable Now, In a Cave or a Coma, is available now from Pehr and as a download from iTunes

Mr. Pharmacist
Solenoid's ambient/experimental alias. ComLib vice-president David Chandler is also known as Solenoid, his primary pen name. Some of you may also know him as DJ Brokenwindow, Mr. Pharmacist, or as 1/2 of the duo Office Products (with Doug Theriault.) Solenoid is no less than one of Portland's pre-eminent gurus on all matters pertaining to underground dance music, experimental DJing, electro, synthesizer culture, and more. He's been producing music and participating in the local community for over 16 years, and has been networking with like-minded artists worldwide during that time as well. He has released with a fleet of labels, most notably ORAC, Outward Music Company, audraglint, and Device. As DJ Brokenwindow, David has been instrumental in formulating the public appearances of Community Library through our monthly Club and the "theme based" DJ sets presented there. All this is only the tip of the iceberg of David's profound enthusiasm for all arts and culture, ranging from Linux to 1980s h@cking to library database systems, to new types of computer-based illustration, experimental theatre, and beyond. If you don't know his work, get familiar now with this amazing Portland character.
Mike Jedlicka
owner/operator of Optic Echo Records and programming/operations for Portland Radio Authority. Mike's dj sets for Aleatoric have focused on ambient, and experimental music, usually on 3 turntables. His recent productions are a mix of live instruments and electronic music including Panmixia, Mike Jedlicka, and Wilkins Mop; all available as free mp3s on www.opticecho.com.
